Grade Transferer: The Time-Saving Tool for Teachers

Briefly

Grade Transferer is a chrome extension that lives in the browser and allows teachers to seamlessly transfer data between a variety of educational platforms and their gradebook(s).

The Problem It Solves

With an increase in remote instruction, teachers are using a huge variety of online resources and tools, including Google Classroom, Google Meets, Zoom, online gradebooks, educational apps, and other technologies.

Unfortunately, these tools don’t always ‘talk’ to each other and teachers are forced to spend their precious time manually retyping student scores from one platform into the other.  For example, a teacher might grade an essay on Google Classroom for a class of 25 students and then have to manually retype the student scores into the district’s official gradebook. Multiply this by 4-8 classes and 15-45 assignments per quarter. It quickly adds up!

GradeTransferer to the Rescue!!!

With one handy extension and the click of a button, teachers can automate this process. Grade Transferer grabs grades from one platform, auto-sorts it, and transfers it into the appropriate fields on the second platform. Fast, simple, easy!

The Details

Which platforms do they support?

Grade Transferer currently supports the following:

Grabbing Data:

– Google Classroom  – Schoology  – Aleks (McGraw-Hill)  – Edulastic  – ZipGrade  – Aspen (My Follett)  – Study Island (Edmentum)  – Google Sheets  – Big Ideas Learning – Edhesive – Amplify – Socrative – Membean.com – AP Classroom (CollegeBoard) – your computer’s clipboard – NoRedInk.com – goFormative  – Idaho Digital Learning Academy – Canvas (Instructure)

Filling Data:

– Genesis  – Infinite Campus  – PowerTeacher Pro  – Aspen (My Follett)  – Mastering (Pearson) – Synergy – RealTime

** Districts sometimes have custom configurations.  If GradeTransferer doesn’t work perfectly from the get-go, contact us at [email protected] and we can create a custom patch for your district’s implementation rather quickly to get you up and running **

Do they Collect Student Data?

It takes student privacy seriously and does not collect any student data ever. In fact, student data never leaves your computer, and we don’t even see the data you transfer!

How much does it cost?
GradeTransferer comes with a 7-day free trial, so you can test it out for absolutely free; no credit card required! After the 7-day trial, if you love Grade Transferer you can purchase a license for $1.99 a month (billed annually). If you think your colleagues would benefit from using GradeTransferer, ask your technology coordinator if they would consider purchasing district or school licenses.

Where Can I Find More Info?

The longest day of my teaching careerI don’t know about you but Thursday 1/7/21 was the longest teaching day of my teaching career! I was running on adrenaline, lack of sleep, and I modified that lesson more times than I’d like to admit!I changed my lesson from impeachment to a lesson to help my students process the events happening in the capital at 11 PM at night, which is not like me.On Wednesday 1/6/21, I was glued to the news like the majority of this country. I thought to myself this is how my history teacher must have felt teaching on 9/11, the days, and weeks after the event. I went to bed shortly after 2 AM trying to gain some perspective on the events that occurred that earlier that day.Check it Out❗️notanotherhistoryteacher.com/the-longest-day-of-my-teaching-career/ ...
