Thankfully, this sharing session will provide a great overview on how the government works. July 13th: Sociology Resource Sharing Session

Social relationships have become a massive focus lately. Whether it is for positive or negative reasons, people are interacting in a variety of ways. However, students can often be confused on why certain events transpire when a group of people come together. Therefore, it is essential to help students understand how social interactions work. Thus, this sharing session will cover how 8 key units can provide a wealth of knowledge for students. This session will include information on social stratification, race, culture, gender, education, and crime. As above, engaging teaching methods will be shared in order to ensure students are truly focused.

July 13th: US History in the Classroom Sharing Session

This workshop will be a collaborative session where participants leave with a google doc worth of resources to use in the classroom. You will gain so much from this fast-paced session for the social studies professional development workshop!

July 14th: Personal Finance Sharing Session

Everyone loves to spend money! However, money can go out faster than it comes in. Thus, it is essential for students to learn about personal finance and how to properly balance their money. Thankfully, this sharing session will review essential topics, such as budgeting, investing, banking, and money management. Included will be hands-on ways to ensure students understand the importance of making positive choices. This is essential as they start becoming financially responsible for their spending.

July 15th: Games in the Classroom Sharing Session

Students love games and technology! However, this is often so different from the paper and pencil education that many teachers received. Therefore, this training session will show popular game-based tech resources to bring into the classroom! For instance, Socrative, Gimkit, and Quizlet Live are all incredible ways to build excitement into your lessons. After trying once, you will have students asking you to play this day after day!

July 15th: World History in the Classroom Sharing Session

This workshop will be a collaborative session where participants leave with a google doc worth of resources to use the classroom. You will gain so much from this fast-paced session!

History from the Middle Michelle Luck, and Brainy Apples will be co-presenting with me! The above FREE social studies professional development workshop sessions are here to help ensure you have a great upcoming school year. For nearly every teacher or staff member, the previous year and a half were filled with constant changes and stress. Due to this, lessons became jumbled in order to adapt to the way lessons were being provided, such as in-person, at home, or a combination.

The hope is that this upcoming year will begin to look like a school year used to look. In order to reshape lessons and help students adjust to school, the training sessions will be filled with helpful information! Afterward, you will feel much more confident on knowing how to keep your students engaged and excited for each class period!

If you do not want to miss any of the upcoming lessons, join my email list to be notified of all the interactive lessons coming up! By joining the email list, you will also receive freebies for blog exclusive subscribers!

I signed up for the US History PD today but never got an email with the Zoom code. Could I still get it as it is ongoing?

The United States is a remarkable country. There are so many challenges, triumphs, and individuals to learn about. However, students may not realize how lucky they are to live in America. Instead, they often want to focus on other countries or wish they live in a different area. Thus, teachers work hard to ensure students realize how exceptional the United States is. One incredible way to do this involves the US History Timeline display for the classroom!notanotherhistoryteacher.com/us-history-timeline / ... See MoreSee Less
