The United States has undergone so many changes throughout its history. Whether exploring slavery and how it finally ended or different wars, there have been so many ups and downs. United States History Course

This year-long bundle is filled with everything needed to teach United States History as a survey course! Each unit is extremely organized in order to ensure everything is easy to follow. Within each unit, every lesson is designed with the importance of engaging student learning in mind. Additionally, every unit includes detailed lessons plans centered around 55 minute class periods. Thus, all planning can get done in the short planning periods that teachers have. 

Unit 1: Colonial, Revolution, Articles, and the Constitution

There are 22 days of complete lesson plans in the first unit alone! In order to ensure students are focused, lessons are filled with group activities, stations, and reading passages. Whether comparing Jamestown and Plymouth or studying the 13 British Colonies, students are going to love these lessons.

Unit 2: Constitution 

Next, there are 13 days worth of lesson plans to teach in-depth information about the Constitution. For instance, students will learn about the three branches and the Bill of Rights. They will even complete a Bill of Rights Children’s book project! 

Unit 3: First Presidents and Expansion 

In order to learn about the first presidents and expansion, there are 11 days of lesson plans. Students will learn detailed information about George Washington, Andrew Jackson, and Manifest Destiny. Between all of the stations, games, and projects, students will always be pushing themselves to think deeper. 

Unit 4: Civil War and Reconstitution

In this unit, teachers are provided 10 days of lessons filled with in-depth activities. There are so many types of lessons, including reading passages and stations, in order to keep students active in their learning process. 

Unit 5: Gilded Age Unit 

During this unit, plans are included for 10 days. There is a multitude of activities included in order to help students understand the Gilded Age.

Unit 6: Progressivism, Imperialism, and World War I 

As the units progress, students will be thinking deeper and deeper. Here, there are 17 days of plans to ensure they understand Progressivism, Imperialism, and World War I. Students will not be learning surface level us history course information but will work on mastering critical thinking skills. There are so many activities throughout the course that focuses on different learning styles. 

Unit 7: 1920’s and the Great Depression

The 1920’s and Great Depression made a massive impact on the United States. There are 20 days of lessons to teach students why the Depression happened and the lasting results it had on citizens.

Unit 8: World War II and Cold War 

All wars have a monumental impact on the United States. Between sending soldiers overseas to changes for those at home, there is so much to learn about wars. This unit includes 21 days of lessons to teach students detailed information on World War II and the Cold War. 

Unit 9: Recent U.S. History 

Students are making history each day with the decisions they make. However, they may not realize that they are living through content their kids will be learning about one day. The last unit includes 25 days of plans to focus on recent history. This includes everything from Civil Rights to the 2000s. 

Final Exam Review for the US History Course

Since many states require a final exam, a review unit is even included in the course! Students will be ready to take any U.S History exam after completing all of the activities in this bundle!
