Society is constantly changing. This includes everything from music and movies to laws and individual rights. Students need to understand essential terms and concepts to make well-informed decisions and choices. For instance, understanding the difference between sex and gender is imperative. These aspects are a huge focus in society, so students often have many questions. Thankfully, the Gender Unit for Sociology courses will help students learn all about these terms in a fun and interactive way. By the end of the unit and projects, students will know all about what is gender in Sociology and how it impacts individual decisions!

Specifically, this includes a dating and gender web search, a gender and toy project, and gender expectations lessons. Additionally, students will work on a gender analysis project and gain a deeper understanding of transgender.
