Social Studies Courses to Save You Time!

The school year is filled with so many challenges. From lesson planning to create assessments, there is never enough time to get everything done. However, students truly deserve the best. This involves the best lessons with all different learning methods to teachers who truly care. Thus, teaching is such a demanding yet rewarding career. In order to help reduce planning stress and increase student involvement, there are social studies courses to save you time!

Benefits of the Courses

With any of the courses below, they come with numerous benefits!

1. All Save Teachers Time

Within each course, everything is ready for you! For instance, this includes daily lesson plans, video links, activities, and assessments. Each course has everything needed to teach the course for the entire semester or year. Additionally, everything is incredibly organized! All files are sorted into easy-to-find folders to ensure no minute of planning time is wasted.

2. FREE and Frequent Updates

These courses are ones I teach each year. Therefore, there is always a focus on updating the courses with current teaching strategies. Additionally, content is updated to reflect current events. Thus, I update these courses frequently. All updates are FREE!

3. Email Support

I know how hard teaching can be. Therefore, if you need any support while using one of my courses, I am always here to help. Teachers can email me at any time for questions or support.

4. Experienced-Teacher Made Lessons

As a veteran teacher, I bring in my personal experience while making lessons. I am not a retired teacher who is making resources outside of the classroom. I am a current teacher who is making resources for my students each year. Therefore, I know what is needed in lessons to keep students engaged. All of the courses are filled with stations, games, reading passages, and high-interest projects.  Additionally, my social studies courses contain information on passing rates and average scores for graduation and end-of-year assessments.

AP Government Course

Whether you are a veteran AP Government teacher or just starting your career, you may be feeling frustrated or overwhelmed. Due to the vast range of information in a Government course, it can be stressful to figure out what to teach and how to teach it. Additionally, it is a daunting task to teach such a complex topic to high school students trying to earn college credit. Thankfully, this AP Government course is completely ready to go! It includes everything from Constitutional Foundations to Civil Liberties and Civil Rights. Between that, there are also units on political participation and the different branches of government. In order to prepare students for assessments, there are also exam reviews and course exams.

Civics and American Government Course

When teaching any Government course, heated conversations can arise. While it is great for students to debate because they are passionate, it is vital to ensure they are informed. Thus, this course is filled with fact-based information and will ensure students can justify their thoughts. Thankfully, this semester-long course is filled with everything needed! Topics range from Constitutional Foundations to the different branches of government. Additionally, there is even a final research project where students select a topic, create a survey, and analyze U.S. Census Data.

Personal Finance Course

Money is so nice to spend! However, students have to learn that they have to earn money in order to spend it. Thus, this course is absolutely necessary to prepare students for the real world! Students will learn about so many essential topics, such as credit and banking. Furthermore, they will learn the importance of investing and insurance.

social studies courses

Sociology Course

Society is constantly changing. It is determined by social interactions, behaviors, and relationships. These three aspects often surround how people live and interact with others. Additionally, they often determine how well an entire community or culture can get along. Thus, teaching Sociology and the complexity of human relationships can be tough! There is just so much to cover in a short amount of time. However, this year-long course contains 8 units in order to help students understand social aspects. Topics include social stratification, crime/deviance, and gender!

social studies courses

US History course

The United States has undergone so many changes throughout its history. Therefore, it can be challenging to know what to cover in a U.S History course and how deep to cover each topic. Luckily, this year-long course has everything needed to ensure students learn about so many vital topics! Students will learn everything from the 13 colonies to our recent history!

Why the social studies courses will help you?

Social Studies is such a rewarding yet stressful subject to teach. Thankfully,  there is so much freedom to create amazing lessons due to the range of information within each course. However, this can make planning so complicated when figuring out how to teach the material. Oftentimes, materials are lacking for social studies, which limits the amount of help and resources to pull from. Thankfully, all 5 courses above are FILLED with engaging lessons in the social studies courses. In all of the courses, students will work on mastering complex information while truly enjoying the class.

Start Leaving Work at WorkAfter teaching 4 different preps, interacting with 80+ students, and handling endless paperwork, teachers leave the classroom feeling exhausted. However, few actually get to leave school empty-handed.Instead, so many are carrying home computers, papers to grade, and lessons to fix for tomorrow. Due to this, teachers are working on very little sleep. Instead of continuing this pattern, teachers need to stop tired teaching and start leaving work at work! Now more than ever, teachers need to make themselves a priority.Comment on the blog post to win a $250 government, economics, AP Government, or US history course.notanotherhistoryteacher.com/start-leaving-work-at-work/ ...
